Jodi Johnson has been sewing and creating for as long as she can remember. Her mom taught her to sew when she was young and she has always been turning unused things into something new and useful. She started Urban Acres Creative in 2016 after making a bag for herself out of her sons hockey jersey. It turned into quite the conversation piece around the rink and as she began to make other bags she loved that they all came with their own stories. It didn’t take long for people to start contacting her wanting a bag of their own. Over the years the bags have evolved, and have now expanded from jersey totes to waxed canvas bags, each having its own unique lining that gives the bag its own personality.
